Christopher Halm
I am a trained history and chemistry teacher, having studied at Heidelberg University and earned a PhD in the History of Science from the University of Regensburg. Notably, the German Chemical Society honored me with the Newcomer Award in History for my thesis on 18th-century agricultural chemistry.
I am also an alumnus of the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation and have received fellowships from esteemed institutions such as the Science History Institute in Philadelphia, the Deutsches Museum Munich, the Leibniz Research Alliance, and the Linda Hall Library in Kansas City. These experiences, along with multiple teaching engagements, have shaped my expertise in the historiography and epistemology of knowledge production spaces, encompassing laboratories, fields, and museums across the globe.
My new book project, influenced by the material turn, delves into the global technocultures of moon rocks.
